An opera by Leonard Bernstein, Trouble in Tahiti was performed by Samford University students with Dr. Kristen Kenning directing. Video sequences I created  were projected at various points during the show, on a screen behind the stage. Footage consisted of vintage 1950’s public domain sequences, old 8mm home movies, and new footage I captured of the students in character. We staged some family scenes in an old neighborhood with a vintage automobile, and I applied a stylized look to the footage to appear as 1950’s Technicolor film.
