For two decades, Birmingham photographer/filmmaker Randal Crow
has provided high quality visual solutions for advertising, corporate,
and editorial applications.
As a filmmaker, director, and cinematographer, Randal has created all types of
programming, including television, commercials, short films, corporate
documentaries, music videos, and 3D projection mapping. In directing people on camera, he strives for
a natural, documentary feel to expressing ideas.
Utilizing his 20+ years of experience working with camera and light, Randal provides a visual style best suited to setting mood and telling the story. He has been recognized with numerous cinematography, directing, and photography awards in recent years, including a 2009 Telly and for two years running, the Audience Choice Award- Best Short Film- 2010-2011 Sidewalk Film Festivals. At the 2012 festival Randal was also the Director of Photography for a short film earning the Kathryn Tucker Windham Storytelling Award. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and past treasurer of the Atlanta/SE chapter.
Randal owns a unique 4800 sq ft. studio facility in the historic Southside of Birmingham. It features ground level drive-in access, a 12x24 foot overhead soft-box, post production suite, and lots of charm.
